Access Reserve Materials:
Reserve materials, such as textbooks, course readings, and other high-demand items, are available at our Circulation Desk. These materials are placed on reserve by faculty members to ensure students have access to essential reading materials for their classes. You can check out reserve materials for a limited period of time, typically two hours.

Interlibrary Loan: Access Materials from Other Libraries
Can’t find what you need in our collections? No problem! Our interlibrary loan service allows you to borrow materials from other libraries worldwide. Through this service, you can request books, articles, and other materials that are not available at the ODU Library.
How to Request Interlibrary Loans:
To request an interlibrary loan, simply fill out an online form or visit our Interlibrary Loan office. Our librarians will search for the requested materials and arrange for them to be delivered to the ODU Library. You will be notified when the materials arrive and can pick them up at the Circulation Desk.
Eligibility and Fees:
All ODU students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use our interlibrary loan service. There is no charge for interlibrary loans, but some libraries may charge a fee for copying or shipping materials. Our librarians will inform you of any fees before processing your request.
